The 16th edition of the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) has set to screen four more short films from Iran.
The films ‘Day for Night’ directed by Kaveh Ebrahimpour, Marzieh Riahi’s ‘Driving Lessons’, ‘The Ashes’ made by Aryan Golsourat, and ‘Song Sparrow’ by Farzaneh Omidvarnia will take part in the Regional Short Film Competition section of the event.
The quartet brings to seven the number of Iranian short films competing at the event.
Earlier reports said that the short films ‘Slaughter’ co-directed by Saman Hosseinpour and Ako Zand-Karimi, ‘Return’ by Shahriar Pourseyyedian, and Saeed Jafarian’s ‘Umbra’ will vie at the 16th edition of the GAIFF.
Meanwhile, the gala will also screen Iranian feature film ‘Axing’ directed by Behrouz Shoeibi and Iranian documentary ‘Beloved’ by Yasser Talebi.
The 16th edition of the GAIFF will take place in the city of Yerevan on July 7-14, 2019.
